Rockymart - Amazon Marketplace seller: "Not our fault..."

As my old heated mattress pad has seen better days I decided to get a new one. I'm disabled, so most of my shopping is done online. While I am an Amazon.com shopper I did not appreciate the level of service one of their marketplace sellers has offered. I ordered a heated mattress pad and a few books from Amazon and received the confirmation, but when I saw that the "One click" ordering had my old shipping address on file in the confirmation E-Mail I picked up the phone and called Amazon. As the books were ordered through Amazon there was no issue in changing my shipping address. The issue was the mattress pad; as the mattress pad was ordered through Rockymart.com I had to contact the company to see if I could change my address. I was told in an E-Mail that it's basically my fault for not contacting them before they had sent the item out...yup, I needed to be a mind reader and know when they would ship it. Their website offers no indication of a cancellation policy, so I couldn't even go that route. So, now my item will be delivered to a residence where no one currently resides and they get my money. I've already told the company to have a supervisor contact me and I have also contacted my credit card company to dispute the charge. I'll also be contacting the FTC, as the lack of a cancellation policy is a violation of consumer rights.

From the E-Mail Rockymart sent:

I am not telling you anything other than we shipped your order very fast, to the address you supplied through Amazon for us to ship to.

Any order can be changed or cancelled up until it has been shipped. Your order was shipped out before you contacted us with a request to make changes. That is not any kind of a mistake by us. Our customers see that as excellent service.

I'm fine with fast shipment, however not letting customers know how much time they have to change or cancel an order is not.
